What a disappointment this morning when i saw that Rothbury had released the line-up for 2009. How many more Jam Bands could they pack in there (that's a hypothetical, a lot more, i know...)? Look at Coachella's and Bonnaroo's headliners and acts this year, one word DIVERSITY. Rothbury planners, you really bungled this one up. You do realize that this festival will ONLY attract fans of jam music (which there are a good handful). You're missing out on the Snoop crowd, the Animal Collective crowd, the Modest Mouse crowd... you're missing a huge chunk of musical genres. I am sad that i cannot attend anymore but I'm sure I won't be the only person making this decision. I was really, really looking forward to the festival this summer because I had such a blast last year. It is about the music, not the festival and everyone can keep their vibes and their karma. You have turned this year into a joke, I just dont get it. Why would we collectively want to see the same style of music 20 times in a row, you missed the point of it being a festival...les claypool had it right with Electric Apricot. Check out the line-up at MLIVE.COM... dont even give Rothbury credit for having this crap online.
