It was really good. First he gave a little background on the beginnings. Then he described how they select the music and 70% is Independent! They employ 25 musicians to "listen" to tracks and grade them in over 400 categories that deal with... music theory, the categories then make up the Music Genome Project which drives what songs appear in your stations. He talked about how radio is dying and Pandora actual gets the artist paid .. 30% i think, and TV is 15% radio pays the artist ... 0% (i know, 0's a percent, right?) He also briefly mentioned his legal battle with the record companies who wanted to raise royalties and over one million Pandora fans wrote to congress who passed a law keeping the royalties low... then I got a free t shirt....
