This is a piece that I had finished up for Meowza's birthday a few weeks back. Its an old wood chess board and a polyurethane. The detail may be lost in this image, but its a girl standing over a yellow mine some where in Tibet. I let it dry outdoors some times and there ended up being multiple insects embedded in the coating. Just added texture i'd say.
This Chess board ( no relation ) is my next WIP. Old timely hand carved pieces with a board that folds into a faux book when closed.
