... One Year Later...

It's the 3rd day of Winter. Rivers are frozen and white is the new green. 365 days ago, I was arriving in Oregon, alone but never lonely, in my modern covered wagon.


I am Lewis, Calvin and Adam.
No Clark. No Hobbes. No Eve.


Just a direction, West. No need for a map, compass says West.  Plains, oceans, mountains and gorges await. Ahead, lies seven bridges who know in one year, it would be better. They await with blue skies. They promise no disappointment for no regrets. We shake hands as a gentlemen agreement, accept each others terms, cordially tip top hats and part. Departure is sweet as Ol' Jenny G was a cold, dying piece of the Union. 


... 


Seven days from now, I will be one week and thirty two years of age. I plan to do more in that week that I have in my enitre being. Godspeed new decade, Godspeed...
